Dr. Kevin Brinson is the State Climatologist of Delaware and serves as Director of the Center for Environmental Monitoring and Analysis, or CEMA, at the University of Delaware. He is also a research faculty member in the Department of Geography and Spatial Sciences at the University of Delaware. Dr. Brinson's research is primarily focused on hydroclimatic extremes, such as drought and high-intensity rainfall events, and their effect on agriculture and and the transportation system. He has also worked with environmental sensors for over 20 years, and oversees the densest statewide mesoscale meteorological network in the United States, the Delaware Environmental Observing System.
