Kristy Drutman, otherwise known as “Browngirl Green” is a speaker, consultant, media producer, and environmental educator passionate about working at the intersections between media, diversity, and environmentalism.
As a young entrepreneur, Kristy has educated hundreds of thousands of people across the globe about modern-day environmental issues through speeches and media content as well as facilitates workshops centered around environmental media and storytelling in cities across the United States.
Kristy is also the Co-Founder of the Green Jobs Board, a climate tech start-up bridging the equity and inclusion gap within the green economy through conversations, resources, and pathways to bring more diverse talent into the environmental field.
Representative Phillips has focused her work on environmental justice throughout the state of Delaware with an emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in parks. Over the past few years, she has worked on expanding urban green space in Wilmington, Delaware and in Baltimore, Maryland in partnership with community groups.

As Miss Delaware 2021 in the Miss America Organization, she worked with young people throughout the state on professional development. Through the creation of community gardens, she taught communities how to grow, harvest, and cook their own food.
She has an extensive background in wildlife studies and environmental field work. She loves the outdoors and wants to continue to work on increasing access to environmental careers.
She worked as a student ambassador with Title IX at the University of Delaware. She helped create the “kNOw MORE” campaign that educates University faculty, staff, and students about sexual violence, healthy relationships, and discrimination.
She possesses a Bachelor of Science Degree with Distinction from the University of Delaware in Environmental and Marine Science and a Master’s Degree from the University of Delaware in Energy and Environmental Policy.

Sonia Saunders has been an educator for the Red Clay Consolidated School District for the past 20 years. Kelly Cobb is an Associate Professor of Fashion and Apparel Studies at The University of Delaware. Her research program examines the complexities inherent in apparel and textile supply chains through creative project-based work that seeks to reintegrate the wearer of clothes to local trades and economies, restoring integrity and kinship to the origins of materials and to the human labor involved in textile and apparel production. She is a PI and cohort member of the NSF Convergence Accelerator: ReSpool. Examples of other key projects include the simulation of a regional textile supply chain (Northeast USA) through the production of a 100-Mile Suit. Global multi-disciplinary research conducted collaboration with Denimatrix, involved tracing the denim supply chain with the objective of demystifying it, from a Texas field to a Guatemala factory, to a New York City showroom floor. Currently, she is guiding undergraduate product development research in collaboration with Reebok to identify US based sourcing and manufacturing opportunities.
